For the 2024 KINETIK opening at SCAD Atlanta's Motion Media Design Student Showcase, our theme is "thinking outside of the box." Our goal was to explore and innovate with motion techniques, utilizing 2D, 3D, and film, all while incorporating the motif of square shapes. As a 3d design lead, I was in charge of making most of the 3d style frames, and doing final compositing the typography with the 2d design lead.

To maintain the central square motif, I explored a variety of square shapes, incorporating both 2D and 3D elements in the composition. I also played with the concept of positive and negative space, ensuring the square remained a consistent focal point throughout the scenes.

WIP 2 : Scene Set Up, Animation Test
Animation test
I first set up the scene, focusing on materials and lighting to establish the fundamental. Next, I worked on animation by keyframing the camera's position and speed for dynamic movement. Since the project included two different scenes,
I managed the viewport visibility and render visibility toggle buttons, animating them on and off to seamlessly switch between scenes within the same project.
To effectively edit the compositing part, I rendered the scene with an alpha channel.

Although the scene had simple elements, I added a lot of keyframe animation to achieve dynamic animation.
In this scene, I used Atom Array and Cloner for the modeling. For the animation part, I utilized Push Apart.
WIP 3 : Compositing
For the compositing, I adjusted the S-curve and refined the typography to ensure the entire scene remained cohesive.
Final Styleframes
These are the final style frames I developed for the project, covering eight scenes in total. With a fast, upbeat soundtrack driving the visuals, my goal was to create eye-catching, dynamic transitions and movements to match the rhythm
